Julian Nagelsmann was contacted by Tottenham Hotspur a few weeks ago, and the club is still interested in him, but they have not yet made him an official offer to lead the team.
Bayern Munich fired the German in March. That was a great shock, but ever since, he has frequently been mentioned in connection with the Spurs’ open position.
Tottenham will benefit greatly from Nagelsmann’s hiring, so why are negotiations taking so long? Sport1 believes they have the solution.

The German media outlet shares the latest on Julian Nagelsmann as he continues to be linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
We told you this morning about how the 35-year-old is surprisingly talking to potential candidates to become a part of his backroom staff, despite the fact that he doesn’t have a job yet.
That may well be because he knows an offer is coming his way in the near future, and the report claims Tottenham spoke to him about the job ‘weeks ago’.
However, there has been no communication between the two parties since for one big reason – Nagelsmann ‘will not’ have any concrete talks until Spurs appoint a new sporting director.
Tottenham’s focus right now is on that, and that’s why news regarding a new manager has been so quiet recently.

The Tottenham chairman appears to be eager to hire Nagelsmann, but the German is apparently unwilling to meet with the club until a sporting director has been hired.
What will happen if Nagelsmann doesn’t like the new director Levy picks at this time?
Tottenham cannot pretend that this is an easy issue, but they must quickly come up with a solution. If they don’t, their summer transfers will also be postponed, which will undoubtedly have an impact on them next season.
