Gabby Agbonlahor has discussed the future of Leeds United transfer target Folarin Balogun at Arsenal.

The former striker thinks Arsenal need to ‘sell’ Folarin Balogun when the summer transfer window opens, as he told talkSPORT (17/05/23 at 8:55 am).

Leeds United are a club that have expressed interest in the Hale-End academy product – the Elland Road fans have been told to ‘keep an eye out’.

Although, they have to maintain their Premier League status before they want to knock on the door of a player that has scored 19 goals in Ligue 1 for Reims this season.

Given that Balogun has switched international allegiances from England to the USA, then the 21-year-old now needs to be playing on a regular basis, which he might not get at Arsenal next season.

So, that opens the door for his exit and Agbonlahor thinks it’s time for the player to leave.

“Balogun, he would be back from his loan and I would sell him,” said Agbonlahor.

“He has been on loan (and wants to start games), so you could get a good fee for him as well. You have to make these big decisions, don’t you?!”

BALOGUN SHOULD SIGN FOR LEEDS IF THEY AVOID RELEGATION
That number nine spot has been a problem area for Leeds and the current man in that spotlight – Patrick Bamford – isn’t exactly having a great time.

Leeds have a big task on their hands to stay in the Premier League, and if they do, then it will be a huge sigh of relief from the fans.

But a player like Balogun should be at the top of their transfer wishlist in the summer because he would provide that cutting edge in the final third, as well as prove to be a better goalscorer than Bamford.
