It has been reported that while the Tottenham Hotspur board are keen on Brendan Rodgers becoming their next manager, Daniel Levy is not.
Football Transfers have made this claim a day after Arne Slot publicly confirmed that he intends to sign a contract extension at Feyenoord.
While there seems to be optimism within the Tottenham Hotspur camp about Brendan Rodgers becoming their next manager, Daniel Levy does not feel the same way.

It was revealed in April that the much-maligned chairman is still miffed about the fact that Rodgers chose to join Liverpool instead of Spurs in 2012.
Additionally, it was claimed that it was unlikely that the former Leicester City boss, branded as ‘unbelievable’ by Michail Antonio on BBC’s Footballer’s Football Podcast would be given the job due to this very reason.
Now, a report has stated that while the Tottenham board have ‘formally’ offered Brendan Rodgers the chance to become their manager, Daniel Levy is not particularly happy with the choice.
However, the London-based side are trying to avoid putting this information out publicly to save themselves from further embarrassment, as Rodgers could well turn them down.
Daniel Levy must let the grudge go
If Daniel Levy is indeed still holding on to Brendan Rodgers’ decision to join Liverpool 11 years ago, he must let that go, especially as Tottenham are in desperate need of a new manager.
With Julian Nagelsmann now unlikely to take the job and Arne Slot set to stay at Feyenoord, the decision boils down to just four coaches.
Brendan Rodgers, Luis Enrique, Ange Postecoglou and Graham Potter.
While one would expect that at least one of the three apart from Rodgers would be willing to manage Tottenham, you simply never know.
As a result, it would be helpful from a Spurs perspective for Levy to mend his relationship with Rodgers and let bygones be bygones.
