As the dust settles after a historic 2022-23 season for Luton Town Football Club, the club has today released its retained and released list of players.

The club, freshly promoted to the Premier League, has exercised options for a further year on the contracts of Gabe Osho, Dan Potts and Elliot Thorpe.

Meanwhile, negotiations are still ongoing with Pelclrkly Ruddock Mpanzu, Tom Lockyer, Amari’i Bell and Luke Berry, as the club is keen to keep these players at Kenilworth Road.

Loan players Ethan Horvath, Cody Drameh and Marvelous Nakamba will be returning to their parent clubs following the end of their time at Luton. Matt Macey, former Ireland Under-21 Glen Rea, Dion Pereira, Carlos Mendes Gomes and John McAtee will be returning to Luton Town following their loan spells away.

However, not all the news is of retainment and return. Departures have also been announced. Captain Sonny Bradley, Henri Lansbury and Harry Isted will all leave the Hatters following the expiration of their contracts.

Sonny Bradley, who made 175 appearances for Luton Town and has been the club captain since the League One promotion season in 2018, was already confirmed to depart at the end of his contract.

Midfielder Henri Lansbury, 32, an Arsenal academy graduate who made 48 appearances for the Hatters, will also leave.

Harry Isted, who joined the Hatters from Stoke before the 2017-18 League Two promotion-winning campaign, completes the list of departures from the first team.

The club’s development squad has also seen some movements. Luton Town has extended offers to Aidan Francis-Clarke and Axel Piesold to extend their contracts.

Meanwhile, Daniel Idiakhoa, Avan Jones, Conor Lawless, Josh Neufville (signing for AFC Wimbledon), Callum Nicolson, Casey Pettit and Josh Williams are set to leave the club at the end of their deals.

First-year scholars moving into their second year are Tyrell Giwa, William Houghton, Claude Kayibanda, Jack Lorentzen-Jones, Max Scott and Marcus Warren.

Negotiations are ongoing with Jack Bateson, Jake Burger, Archie Heron, Oli Lynch, Millar Matthews-Lewis and Josh Odell-Bature, who have each been offered a professional contract to remain at Kenilworth Road.

Scholars Sam Bentley, Oliver Hemlin, Rio Martucci, Darcy Moffat and Josh Swan will leave the club at the end of their time.
