COVENTRY City will play Milton Keynes Dons and Exeter City as part of the club’s preparations for the 2023/24 season.

The Sky Blues head to Milton Keynes’ Stadium MK home on Tuesday, July 25 with kick-off at 7.45pm before then travelling to Exeter’s St James Park ground on Saturday, July 29 with kick-off at 3pm.

MK Dons were relegated from League One last season after finishing one point from safety and recently appointed Graham Alexander as the club’s new manager.

Veteran defender Dean Lewington remains a key part of Dons’ squad which also includes the likes of Will Grigg and Jonathan Leko.

Exeter are managed by Gary Caldwell and finished 14th in League One last term.

COVENTRY CITY TO PLAY AT ST JAMES PARK

Exeter City’s last pre-season friendly will be against Championship side Coventry City at St James Park on Saturday, July 29, 3pm. Coventry lost out last weekend to Luton in the play off final for the right to play in the Premier League.

The last time Exeter played Coventry was in August 2019, when Coventry won 4-1 in the first round of the League Cup, with Pierce Sweeney scoring a consolation goal. The previous season they beat Exeter at Wembley in a League Two play off final 3-1 with Kyle Edwards getting the City goal.

Tickets will be available online on Monday 5 June, or from the club shop during opening hours. You can also purchase on the day for this fixture via the ticket booth in the fan zone.
