Leeds United are reportedly facing a fight to keep Cody Drameh amid interest from Burnley and Luton Town.

Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Burnley and Luton Town want to sign Cody Drameh from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

The Italian journalist has claimed that Leeds want to keep Drameh and make him part of the squad that will be aiming to win promotion to the Premier League.

The West Yorkshire club will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

Burnley won automatic promotion to the Premier League for next season, while Luton went up via the Championship playoffs.

Drameh spent the second half of this past season on loan at Luton from Leeds.

Romano wrote: “Burnley and Luton are prepared to open talks over the permanent transfer of Cody Drameh in the coming days. #transfers

“Leeds have yet to appoint new head coach as they still hope to convince Drameh to stay and get promoted next season.”

Cody Drameh should consider permanent Leeds United exit
In our view, Cody Drameh should seriously consider leaving Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

Burnley and Luton Town will play in the Premier League next season.

Now, of course, Leeds are a big club, but we all know how tough and competitive the Championship is.

There is no guarantee that the West Yorkshire club will win promotion back to the Premier League anytime soon.

Drameh – described as “phenomenal” by former Cardiff City manager Steve Morison in WalesOnline in February 2022 – played regularly for Luton in the last few months in their promotion push, and clearly he is a player they rate highly.
