West Ham United: Declan Rice transfer decision made on Tuesday – Sky Sports journalist

Bayern Munich have decided against submitting an offer for West Ham star Declan Rice, according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The journalist noted that the German giants have opted against moving for the midfielder as he became “more and more expensive.”

Plettenberg added that the Hammers captain and England international is now close to joining Premier League rivals Arsenal.

“NO transfer! Bayern has decided today not to submit an offer after all – confirmed,” Plettenberg posted on Twitter.

“It was the clear trend for days and as reported on Friday, because Rice became more and more expensive. He’s on verge to join Arsenal now! First call BILD.”

Endless saga

Nobody is really quite sure when the Rice transfer saga will finally come to an end, with the Hammers ace the subject of constant attention regarding his future.

It is almost inevitable that the midfielder’s future lies away from East London, with the England international set to move on from his beloved club in order for a new challenge at a higher level.

Fortunately, West Ham have enjoyed many years of Rice at his very best, with his spell at the London Stadium set to end in the most perfect way possible after he helped guide his side to the 2022/23 Europa Conference League trophy.

While they will have to fork out a huge fee this summer, the lucky club to land Rice is set to pick up a superb all-round midfielder, one that is certain to improve their overall squad and subsequent chances of regularly challenging for silverware.
