Few centre-halves in world football can claim to have kept Haaland quiet in recent times. However, during the recent Euro 2024 qualifier between Norway and Scotland, that’s exactly what Jack Hendry did.

The 28-year-old played at the heart of Scotland’s back three and stood up tall to the challenge of facing Haaland.

The Man City ace did find the net, though only from the penalty spot and his strike wasn’t enough to prevent Scotland from securing a superb 2-1 victory away from home.

TEAMtalk has learned Hendry – who has not enjoyed the best of times at club level lately – could soon be on the move to the Premier League.

Hendry currently plies his trade for Belgian side Club Brugge, though was loaned out to Cremonese in Italy last term.

The deal contained an option to buy, though was cut short at the halfway mark with Hendry returning to Brugge in January.

Club Brugge are now managed by former Celtic boss Ronny Deila who is keen to take a look at Hendry. However, we understand offers from the Premier League could soon be lodged.

Furthermore, while there is interest in Spain, France and Italy, it is believed Hendry is keen to try his luck in the Premier League.

Newly promoted duo Sheffield United – who have previously tried to sign him – and Burnley are both keen on making a concrete move.

Elsewhere, Wolves, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Nottingham Forest have also been linked.
