£13M INTERNATIONAL SET FOR NOTTINGHAM FOREST MEDICAL TODAY WITH DEAL AGREED

Nottingham Forest, Galatasaray interested in Nicolás Domínguez of Bologna | Mundo Albiceleste

The £13 million-rated Argentina international Nicolas Dominguez will reportedly undergo a medical at Nottingham Forest today before joining the Premier League club in exchange with Remo Freuler.

It might have been a relatively quiet window for Nottingham Forest. At least compared to last summer’s kid in a candy shop approach to recruitment. But, with so many targets supposedly on their way to the City Ground in the final 48 hours of the month, Steve Cooper’s side could still fit an entire summer’s worth of drama into just two short days.

According to The Athletic, Nottingham Forest are closing in on Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and Arsenal full-back Nuno Tavares. Fenerbahce striker Michy Batshuayi is also in line for a return to England.

Forest are closing in on Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos too.

And, per Tuttomercatoweb, there will be at least one central midfield additon too. After showing an interest in the likes of Ibrahim Sangare, Florentino Luis and Youssouf Fofana – making bids in the region of £30 million for the latter two – Forest appear to have settled upon a cheaper, if less-heralded addition.

Nicolas Dominguez will arrive in England today before undergoing medical tests. Capped 11 times by Argentina, Dominguez is a tough-tackling, impressively well-rounded footballer who’s energy, athleticism and eye for goal could make him a snip at a rumoured £13 million.

The report adds that Remo Freuler will join Bologna in exchange. The experienced Swiss international only joined Nottingham Forest from Atalanta in 2022 but has not played a single minute of Premier League football so far this term.

Forest stepped up their interest in Dominguez after failing to lure Fofana and Luis away from Monaco and Benfica respectively. Wilmar Barrios, meanwhile, made it clear that he had no interest in leaving Zenit St Petersburg for the two-time European champions.

“Conversations from outside are normal. I defend the colours of this jersey in every match,” Barrios tells Russian website Meta Ratings. “Yes, I have an offer from Nottingham Forest.

“But I am one hundred percent focused on Zenit.”

Nottingham Forest make new offer for signing – Club willing to sell, player to decide in ‘next few hours’

West Ham miss out on signing Ibrahim Sangare after he decides against Premier League move | Daily Mail Online

Nottingham Forest have been chasing PSV Eindhoven’s Ibrahim Sangaré for the past few weeks.

Last week, Eindhovens Dagblad reported the Tricky Trees are still looking into whether they can afford to pay the fee requested by the Eredivisie side.

There has been a new development now as journalist Rik Elfrink took to Twitter to state that PSV have received a ‘new offer’ of €35m from Nottingham Forest for Sangaré.

Eindhovens Dagblad, relayed by Voetbal Primeur, have provided additional information on this case.

The Premier League side’s proposal is very close to the midfielder’s €37.5m release. The report says the Dutch club are willing to allow the 25-year-old leave as the funds from his sale can help them sign Napoli’s Hirving Lozano.

Steve Cooper’s side now have to convince the Ivory Coast international because the outlet states he’s ‘not yet sure’ about this transfer.

The player questions whether a move to Nottingham Forest is the right step at this stage in his career as he’s still open to staying at PSV, who qualified for the Champions League group stage on Wednesday.

ED say Sangaré will think about his future ‘for the next few hours’ and then there should be more clarity on whether he’ll join the Tricky Trees. Both PSV and Nottingham Forest will be waiting for his final decision.
