 Star signs new five-year deal with Celtic.

Celtic have received a major boost after Japan midfielder Reo Hatate signed a new five-year contract. The 25-year-old has scored 14 goals in 71 appearances since joining in January 2022.

Celtic midfielder Reo Hatate has signed a new five-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2028.

Since joining Celtic from J-League side Kawasaki Frontale in January 2022, the 25-year-old Japanese international has won four trophies and scored 14 goals in 71 games.

“I love playing for Celtic in front of the best fans around,” Hatate told the Celtic website. “I hope we can have more and more success together.”

“We have a lot of challenges ahead of us this season and beyond, both in Scotland and in the Champions League, and we’re all ready to face them as a team.” We will do all in our power to provide our fans even more joy.

“I have had the best welcome ever since I joined the club and I want to thank all our fans for the great support they continue to give to us all.”

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers expressed joy at securing the future of a player associated with English Premier League clubs:
