Despite his transfer termination saga, Jota has been photographed smiling in Al-Ittihad training.

The former Celtic winger joined the Saudi club in the summer for a cost of £25 million, but things haven’t gone as planned since.

Jota has only scored once and made a couple of substitute appearances for his new team, and he was recently denied registration for the Pro League roster due to the club’s limit of eight foreign players.

The Portuguese winger has also suffered an injury in recent weeks, which has hampered his hopes of breaking into the first team.

According to reports in Saudi Arabia, Jota is attempting to have his contract canceled so that he can find a new home where game time is guaranteed.

Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham Hotspur are apparently interested, although a move would require Jota to be freed from his present contract.

Meanwhile, Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri has called Celtic the “dark horse” of their Champions League group, warning that Brendan Rodgers’ team would pose the most difficult task.

Lazio began their season with a 1-1 tie against Atletico Madrid, while Celtic fell to Feyenoord 2-0.

Sarri, on the other hand, believed Celtic deserved more for their performance in Rotterdam before having two men sent off, and he rejected a predictable question from the Italian media about whether he expected a physical match in Scotland.

“Celtic are the least physical team in the group, they are a technical side and play with great intensity,” the former Chelsea manager stated at a Celtic Park press conference. Yes, if you mean the most strenuous physical game then yes, but not in the other sense.

“I believe Celtic has the potential to be the group’s dark horse.” Celtic are a formidable team that plays with a lot of intensity, speed, and movement. “I was surprised by how technically proficient they are.”
