Jota left the Bhoys during the summer after making an unfortunate transfer to Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Sead Haksabanovic also left the team, and Celtic signed a number of wide-ranging players, including Luis Palma, Yang Hyun-jun, and Marco Tilio.

After making his Celtic first-team debut more than 13 years ago, James Forrest has been a mainstay for a considerable amount of time.

That may give Forrest a path to more action with Celtic no doubt weighing up some January departures to trim Rodgers’ squad.
