“Unbelievable as it may seem,” Rodgers describes the Celtic winger who trains at the same speed as Daizen Maeda.

James Forrest continues to be Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers’ fastest winger, even surpassing Daizen Maeda, according to Rodgers.

Even at thirty-two, James Forrest’s speed continues to dazzle in Celtic training tests.

Brendan Rodgers, who has been talking to The Herald about his possibilities, says as much.

Jota left the Bhoys during the summer after making an unfortunate transfer to Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Sead Haksabanovic also left the team, and Celtic signed a number of wide-ranging players, including Luis Palma, Yang Hyun-jun, and Marco Tilio.

The player with the longest tenure is still the fastest during Brendan Rodgers’ training sessions, despite the modifications.

After making his Celtic first-team debut more than 13 years ago, James Forrest has been a mainstay for a considerable amount of time.

Forrest has only played 187 minutes in league play this season, and he hasn’t been as significant for Celtic as he once was.

After turning 32 over the summer, Forrest might be phased out by Celtic in the upcoming months.

Despite testing the Celtic team’s speed recently, Rodgers is still impressed with Forrest’s pace, who was the team’s fastest winger.

Even if he can’t demonstrate it as frequently, Rodgers pointed out that Forrest is still just as fast as Daizen Maeda, despite what others may not believe.

After Forrest came off the bench against Hibernian over the weekend, Rodgers expressed satisfaction with his performance and hinted that we might see more of him in the future.

James Forrest, who is 32 years old, is still our fastest winger, according to Rodgers. He’s still my quickest winger, according to testing we recently completed. Surprisingly, he’s on par with Daizen Maeda in terms of raw speed. Throughout the game, he might not be able to perform it as much or for extended periods of time. He can enter the game and have an impact, but his actual football is still exceptional.

Whether he has started or came off the bench, I believe he has been able to accomplish that in every game. We could have argued that he got us the winner over the weekend. Hear us out: we recognize the lure of shiny new items in the modern world. Nevertheless,.

Guys who can still be very, very strong players and have an influence for us should be thrown to the trash, in my opinion. And James did a great job when he came in,” he continued.

Celtic may offload some wingers in January

Celtic took the strategy of throwing enough darts at the board to, hopefully, find a Jota replacement in the summer.

Yang and Tilio are clearly signings for the future but are yet to really make an impact and Celtic may well loan them out in January.

Then there is Mikey Johnston, who may need a totally fresh start away from Celtic in search of regular first-team football.

That may give Forrest a path to more action with Celtic no doubt weighing up some January departures to trim Rodgers’ squad.
