The current losing run is ended!

The Carolina Panthers defeated the visiting Houston Texans, 15–13, on Sunday to record their first victory of the season. Are they in the NFL now beginning to emerge from the basement?

Here is where your Panthers, who are 1-6, stand in the most recent power rankings:

The Panthers earned their first victory, and teams led by Frank Reich are known for having excellent second halves.

In addition to recording a historic 56-game losing skid in games where it trailed in the fourth quarter, Carolina also achieved a breakthrough victory on Sunday.

“The Panthers emerged victorious in their encounter with the Texans, and they had reason to celebrate Bryce Young’s perhaps finest NFL performance over C.J. Stroud, who had been the superior rookie quarterback before Sunday. Even if sacks are still a problem, Young has recently displayed some modest development and increased confidence in his abilities. Though Young appeared to have greater rhythm, it was not immediately apparent what fruit the play-calling switch from Frank Reich to Thomas Brown bore. Suddenly, you notice that there are several games on the calendar that you can win. While it is unlikely for any team to overcome a 0–6 deficit to get to the playoffs, the Panthers would undoubtedly be happy if Young could match CamNewton’s record of six wins as a rookie

This season, rookie Bryce Young hasn’t had many occasions to rejoice. However, he recorded Carolina’s first win of the season and his first career victory on Sunday. However, his performance during the victory drive demonstrated his development. He completed one pass to Adam Thielen on a fourth down while going 5 for 6 for 50 yards. He had a seven-yard scramble as well. For the first time since Cam Newton helped Carolina overcome a 17-0 deficit against the Eagles in 2018, he assisted Carolina in winning after trailing by only one point in the fourth quarter. When Carolina selected Young first overall, his decision-making and processing throughout the drive were as superb as promised.

“They defeated the Texans to win for the first time, but it wasn’t simple. It’s a positive thing that the offensive did display some life.
