When questioned about the incident, Rodgers stated on BBC Radio Scotland, “I haven’t seen it back.” It appeared painful from the sidelines, no doubt. He had to leave because it was obvious that he was not in a good place.

“He won’t leave with Japan just yet. He must remain for seven days in order to recuperate. It had a bad appearance.

Kyogo will be extremely disappointed to be unable to participate in international duty. He has been putting in a lot of effort to get into Hajime Moriyasu’s plans, and the World Cup qualifiers were the ideal opportunity for him to do so.

At the very least, sticking behind at Lennoxtown should allow the attacker to recuperate and rest properly in preparation for Celtic games after the international break.

Before being substituted today, Kyogo scored his eighth goal of the year, and he continues to lead the team in goals scored across all competitions.
