Tom Brady offered C.J. Stroud a Super Bowl ring in lopsided Michigan-Ohio State bet

Tom Brady offered C.J. Stroud a Super Bowl ring in lopsided Michigan-Ohio State bet | For The Win

Report: C.J. Stroud drops message to ohio state buckeyes.

Tom Brady really wishes he was still playing football. It’s never been more evident than after hearing the tongue-in-cheek bet he made with Houston Texans rookie C.J. Stroud on a recent episode of Brady’s podcast.

Brady and Stroud bet on what’s shaping up to be a huge game between hated rivals Ohio State and Michigan next Saturday, with each obviously pulling for their alma maters. And if Brady’s Wolverines win, he wants to take Stroud’s future in the NFL — as if 23 years weren’t enough.

If Ohio State wins, Stroud gets one — just ONE! — of Brady’s seven Super Bowl rings, which doesn’t sound like a fair trade-off at all.

“If Ohio State wins — which I don’t really think… whatever, we’re going to see — you get one of my Super Bowl rings. And if Michigan beats Ohio State, then you got to give me all your youth, your agility, your time in the [40-yard dash] and all your future years in the NFL. How bout that?” Brady said on the latest episode of Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.

Stroud agreed to the rigged stakes, which tells me he either wasn’t taking the G.O.A.T. quarterback very seriously or he’s extremely confident his Buckeyes will come through for him. But after having a Rookie of the Year- and MVP-caliber season through 10 weeks, if Ohio State loses and Stroud’s abilities fall off a cliff in Week 12, Texans fans know who to blame.
