Celtic should be worried by manager’s recent comments.

Rodgers Comments On Flat Celtic Park Atmosphere | Latest Celtic News

Report: Brendan Rodgers drops a speech which made the players/fans worried and……

Celtic have signed plenty of players in recent times. Some moves have worked out for the club, others have not. But overall, they have remained successful on the pitch. So, there is very little incentive for the Hoops to steer away from their transfer strategy unless they are planning to make a serious impact in the Champions League.

The club’s transfer policy did shift when Ange Postecoglou arrived as manager in the summer of 2021. And although the Australian has left since then, the Hoops have stuck to their plans.

Just this year alone, they have signed three players from the K-League. They cannot be called success stories so far. Oh Hyeon-gyu and Yang Hyun-jun have shown flashes of brilliance but need to be a lot more decisive and consistent. As for Kwon Hyeok-kyu, he has not played a single minute of football since arriving in the summer.

That has not stopped Celtic from scouting K-League players though. And one name they have been linked with recently is Jung Ho-Yeon. The recent comments made by Gwangju FC manager Lee Jung-Hyo should lead them to reconsider their plans though..

This is not the first time that Lee has spoken about Jung potentially joining Celtic and how that could work out for him. And he seems completely convinced that the South Korean player would struggle to make it in Glasgow if he did make the switch.

Of course, if Celtic are completely convinced about Jung and his talent, then Lee’s comments should not deter them from making a move for him. At the same time though, the overall performances of their recent signings would not fill fans with confidence.

Over the last year, Alistair Johnston is the only great signing that Celtic have made. Luis Palma is also showing early signs of promise.
