Former Alabama LB Rashaan Evans cut from Eagles practice squad
He was one of the best edge rushers in the Nick Saban era at Alabama, but he is looking for a new home in the pros.Rashaan Evans, a former first-round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, had his contract for the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad terminated on Friday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the story as the 27-year-old looks for his fourth team in the league.Evans, a native of Auburn, Ala., played four years (2018-21) with the Tennessee Titans. The former All-American and first-team All-SEC selection in 2017 totaled 111 tackles for the Titans in 2019. He had a career-high 159 tackles in 2022 for the Atlanta Falcons while playing in a career-high 17 games. Evans came to the University of Alabama as a five-star recruit in 2014.
