BREAKING: Green Bay Packers HC Matt LaFleur Announces Star Player Released From Hospital
The Green Bay Packers have punched their ticket to the 2023 NFL playoffs. Their 10th win in a row against the Chicago Bears earned them the 7th and final seed in the NFC. Now the Packers will face the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round on Sunday.
Today, Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur announced that one star player had been released from the hospital following their massive win over Chicago.
In Sunday’s 17-9 victory over the Chicago Bears, Packers receiver Romeo Doubs suffered a chest injury. When Matt LaFleur’s team enters the wildcard round, Doubs is considered day-to-day.
“It seems to be he’s doing better, but he’ll be day to day, I’d say,” LaFleur said Monday.
According to LaFleur, Doubs was back in the locker room at the end of the game after spending some time in the hospital.
During the Packers’ first drive of the game on Sunday, Doubs was injured during a failed catch attempt. Despite his best efforts, he eventually left the game for good and was evaluated back in the locker room.
Doubs accounted for 59 receptions for 674 yards and eight touchdowns this season while playing all 17 games.
