Rams offer Super Bowl champion who was released and left jobless a second opportunity.

The 2021 fifth-round pick was signed to the Rams practice squad on Tuesday.

Brown hasn’t played most of the season, only appearing in seven games and totaling 56 snaps.

However, the Rams still see some untapped potential in the young player and are keeping him around.

Brown was selected No. 174 in the 2021 NFL draft but has only played in 12 games during his three year career. He only started in three of those games.

In his career, Brown has 14 tackles as a defensive end and has never recorded a sack.

He did make an appearance in the Rams final game of the season on January 7, and recorded three tackles.

It’s possible the Rams saw something they liked in his performance and decided to keep him around for another year.

Rams fans were confused by the move as Earnest was cut and resigned within a few days.

“Waived him on his birthday and signed him the next day as a late present,” one fan said.

“What was the point of cutting him lol,” another fan said.

“So confused,” a comment said.

“Cutting him on his birthday and bringing him back the next day is CRAZY,” another comment said.

With the Rams heading into the playoffs, Brown likely won’t see any action in those games as a practice squad player.

The Rams are heading to Detroit to face off against the Lions in a homecoming game for Matthew Stafford.

The game will be broadcast on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
