According to Brendan Rodgers: Celtic have ‘taken a.
Celtic bounced back from a disappointing defeat away to Feyenoord last Tuesday with a dominative 3-0 victory over Livingston at the weekend. Despite going down to ten men, the Hoops came through unscathed thanks to goals from Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda, and Matt O’Riley.
The Celts held control of the game throughout, and manager Brendan Rodgers was delighted with how things went. He did recently confess that his club experienced a period of ‘instability’ early in the season.
Rodgers talked to the press on Thursday and spoke about this. He said (Sky Sports): “I think over the course of the summer and probably early parts of the season, transfer window and everything there was probably that sense of instability.”
Such a sense of uncertainty has waned in recent times, though. The Scottish champions’ form has taken a positive upturn of late, and the manager thinks they have taken a notable progression. He said: “Now the team have taken a really big mental step forward and I think you see that in the performance, the determination, the intensity, and the quality is moving forward into the levels I want it to get to.”
Things are getting continually better for Celtic under Rodgers. The 50-year-old is slowly but surely getting the team to play the way he wants them to.
The treble-winning champions will be a force to be reckoned with once they hit top gear. Improved performance leads to improved results, which enhances the team’s confidence and the manager’s happiness.
