‘Bring in’: Scott McDonald sends Celtic transfer message involving Kyogo Furuhashi

Celtic business smarts to seal Kyogo deal saluted as former striker loves message it sends - Daily Record

In the January transfer window, Scott McDonald wants Celtic to add another forward.

Kyogo Furuhashi, the standout player and goal scorer at Celtic, is adored by all. Nobody in the club is more qualified to lead the line.

The 28-year-old has six goals against Rangers, including the most recent game-winning strike at Ibrox, and is consistently demonstrating that no one can touch him.

McDonald told PLZ Soccer that he believes Kyogo Furuhashi needs to be put “under pressure,” and the only way to achieve that is to enter the transfer market and sign a new striker.

The team led by Brendan Rodgers has had a fantastic start to the current campaign, so it will be intriguing to observe how the organization handles the situation during the winter transfer window.

There is a good probability that the advantage at the top of the table will be double digits by the time the window opens, reducing anxiety when conducting business.

January transfer window for Celtic
He most likely requires additional support, I would suggest, McDonald added. “I believe that Celtic should consider adding another striker to their lineup in the January transfer window to assist him by providing goals for him.

“But also put him under a little more pressure as well, to get a little bit more out of him.”

Should Celtic get a different forward to compete with Kyogo?
Don’t fix what isn’t broken, but on the other side, the finest teams and managers take initiative.

One thing is for sure, if the money is there to bring another forward, then the club should go for it because it means that they are pro-active and keeping things refreshed.

But if it means having to use money that could be utilised in areas of the pitch that need more care, then Celtic don’t need to go down that road.

Either way, you can bet your bottom dollar that Kyogo will finish top goalscorer by the time the season is out, including a few more goals against Rangers.
