Thursday night brought a significant win for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Tennessee Titans, but amidst the 5-3 record, a new dilemma seems to be brewing in the Steelers’ camp.

Wide receiver George Pickens, who had a rather subdued performance against the Tennessee defense, took to social media on Friday to express his frustrations, hinting at a potential controversy within the Steelers’ receiving team.

“Free me” On Friday, Pickens posted a story on Instagram, featuring the phrase “free me” in the bottom right corner, accompanied by a 19-second animated reaction video.

His posting spree didn’t stop there. Shortly after, he deleted the mentioned post, along with all others on his account. Notably, he seemed to unfollow everyone linked with the Steelers, including Coach Mike Tomlin, quarterback Kenny Pickett, and the team’s official Instagram account. Additionally, he changed his profile picture from one with the Steelers to a high school image.

Thursday night presented a frustrating night for Pickens, with only two receptions for a total of minus-1 yard. This followed the previous weekend’s game, during which he caught a 22-yard touchdown pass in a game where he had just one reception. A spectacular but out-of-bounds leaping grab in the third quarter marked the 22-year-old’s standout moment on Thursday night.
