The former five-star quarterback will reportedly have two years remaining of eligibility. He is set to graduate from Georgia, so he will be a graduate transfer.

The 21-year old played in eight games this season as a backup to starter Carson Beck. Prior to that, Vandagriff played sparingly in five games for the Bulldogs.

A look back at every player Georgia has added from the transfer portal

Breaking down every player the Bulldogs plucked from the portal since it was implemented in 2018.

Although the college football season is far from over, the attention for many fans across the country has turned squarely to roster management. The biggest piece of that puzzle lately has been the transfer portal, which opened on Monday and offers teams plenty of options at every position on the field.

The Georgia Bulldogs have not added any players from the portal and have seen seven players enter as of Thursday morning, but all indications are that Georgia will restock its roster a bit through the portal. Georgia unfairly earned a reputation of not using the portal after the team did not add a single player from it in 2022, something that head coach Kirby Smart pushed back on multiple times during that 2022 season.

“We called and recruited several guys that fit our criteria,” Smart said in December 2022. “Number one, need. Number two, culture. Number three, we knew something about them out of high school. They’d been on our campus. But we didn’t get any of those guys.
