Flacco has officially signed a one-year deal with the Browns worth $4.05 million, which includes incentives with a playoff run and a Super Bowl win.

The 38-year-old quarterback boasts an impressive record, winning a Super Bowl MVP award and making multiple playoff appearances. In his first game at home, Flacco led the Browns to victory against the Jaguars. With this win, Cleveland joined a select group of only seven teams in the Super Bowl era to have recorded wins with four different quarterbacks in a single season.
Although Flacco has spent most of his career with the Baltimore Ravens, he has also played for the Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, and the New York Jets on two stints. With his signing, Flacco joined the Browns’ quarterback room, which included Dorian Thompson-Robinson and P.J. Walker, who is currently playing with the practice squad. The Browns are counting on Flacco’s veteran presence to provide leadership and support to the young guns and contribute to the team’s overall success.
Before signing, the team elevated Flacco from the practice squad in the past two weeks to start games against the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville.

During his time on the practice squad, Joe Flacco was unaware of other teams attempting to sign him. According to a source familiar with the financial terms, Flacco can earn $75,000 for each win in any of Cleveland’s four remaining regular-season games. The incentives have not yet been made public.
In addition, Flacco can receive $250,000 for a win in the wild-card round, $500,000 for a victory in the divisional playoffs, $1 million for an AFC title, and another $2 million if the Browns win the Super Bowl.
