Michigan Wolverines sign 4 of Ohio’s top high school football seniors

Michigan got National Letters of Intent (NLI) from four of the top 23 high school football seniors in the state of Ohio on Wednesday (rankings according to 247Sports) during Early National Signing Day.

The top player was Ohio’s 2023 Mr. Football, Jordan Marshall.

The Archbishop Moeller running back is the No. 4 ranked player in Ohio’s 2024 class. In 13 games this season, the four-star prospect ran for 1,554 yards and 17 touchdowns while also catching 30 passes for 384 yards four scores in helping the Crusaders reach the Division I state semifinals.

The Wolverines also signed a pair of players to help block for Marshall in Avon’s Luke Hamilton and St. Edward’s Ben Roebuck.

Hamilton, the No. 12 ranked player in Ohio and the top offensive lineman in the state, stands at 6-foot-5, 290 pounds and the four-star recruit helped lead Avon to the state semifinals.

Roebuck is the second-highest ranked offensive tackle in Ohio and the No. 23 ranked player overall in the state. The 6-foot-7, 320-pound tackle helped lead the Eagles to three straight OHSAA Division I state championships.

Michigan also signed St. Xavier defensive lineman Ted Hammond. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound lineman had 38 tackles this past season for the Bombers. The three-star recruit is the No. 18 ranked player in the state.

All four players earned first-team all-Ohio honors in their respective divisions. Along with Mr. Football, Marshall was named the co-Offensive Player of the Year in Division I, while Hamilton was co-Offensive Player of the Year in Division II.
