Where Tennessee’s Recruiting Class Ranks After Joakim Dodson’s Commitment
Collierville High School wide receiver Joakim Dodson committed to the Vols on Monday, becoming their first wide receiver commit in the 2025 class. Dodson ranks as the No. 546 prospect in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, and caught 49 passes for 839 yards and seven touchdowns.
Tennessee now has six commits on the offensive side of the football, with two pass catchers in the fray. South Carroll High School tight end Jack VanDorselaer is the other currently committed, and Tennessee still has many options on the board that they are pursuing. The Vols continue to recruit at a fringe top-10 level under head coach Josh Heupel, a trend that continues in 2025.
There’s a chance for the Vols to recruit at a top-5 level in the 2025 class, especially with Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre in the fold. Top prospects have taken notice of the growth and development happening at the University of Tennessee, which has been built through consistency in the program.
