Snoop Dogg backs Shaquille O’Neal’s warnings as Lakers consider more changes to keep LeBron happy

The Los Angeles Lakers managed to leave the 2023/24 NBA season with silverware, but not the kind they wanted, as they were dumped out of the playoffs by the Denver Nuggets.

While the proud franchise has responded by making a few personnel changes, Snoop Dogg is calling for them to go further.

The Lakers quickly axed Darvin Ham from his role as head coach after the First Round of the NBA Playoffs against the Nuggets, as elimination meant they have now gone 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 without winning another ring or making a Finals.

But Snoop Dogg, the iconic rapper, is known for his keen and avid interest in basketball and he’s firmly in Ham’s camp. In fact, he even called for Jeanie Buss to be sacked from her role as the president of the organization.

“We’re used to winning championships”, Snoop Dogg told Stephen A. Smith. “We’re not used to being knocked out of the first round, barely getting to the playoffs. As fans, we pay her (Buss) to make the right moves. No championship, no job.”

The rapper and hip-hop star added, “it wasn’t his fault,” when asked about Ham’s exit. The comments come shortly after Shaquille O’Neal called for the Lakers to get back to winning ways.

Thank you for watching

“This is a storied franchise, a historical franchise,” O’Neal, who won four NBA championships, said. “And we’re used to winning. We’re all about winning …. so changes will definitely be made.”
