Only Mitchell Groh Until Penn State Football

Mitchell Groh enters his redshirt junior season at Penn State as a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. He joined the Nittany Lions for the 2021 season as a walk-on. Groh was named a two-time all-state punter in Dallastown, Pennsylvania. He played soccer and hockey alongside football in high school.

For most of the James Franklin era, Penn State has had a reliable punter. With 2023 starter Riley Thompson expected to hold on to his starting job, Groh is unlikely to see playing time in 2024, but you never know what can happen.
