Kevin Campbell, a former West Brom favourite, has died at the age of 54.
Campbell felt ill last month and was eventually sent to the hospital.

After a good period at Everton, the striker became a free agent and joined the Baggies in January 2005.
He helped Albion stay in the Premier League that season under Bryan Robson, finishing 17th and becoming the first club to be at the bottom of the league on Christmas Day and then survive relegation.

His contribution on the ‘great escape’ season was felt with crucial goals against Manchester City, Birmingham, and Crystal Palace.

Campbell stayed with Albion for the 2005/06 season, when they were relegated after finishing 19th. They went down with Birmingham and Sunderland.

The attacker then departed Albion that summer for Cardiff on a free transfer, his final club before retirement.
He scored six goals in 49 Albion games and is best remembered for his role in the ‘great escape’ season.

Campbell also had a great career, winning a league title with Arsenal before becoming a fan favourite at Everton, where he played between 1999 and 2005.
