SAFC WOMEN:Brianna Westrup signs new deal
Sunderland AFC Women is pleased to announce that Brianna Westrup has signed a new contract.
The 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a full-time contract on Wearside until 2024.
Westrup has played an important role in the Lasses squad since joining last summer from Rangers, playing 24 times in all competitions, with the defender scoring on her debut against Durham in the River Wear Derby at Maiden Castle.
After putting pen to paper, Westrup said: “I’m really happy. It’s really exciting the direction that the Club is going in, happy to be a part of it and happy that they want me to be here. I’m delighted to get it over the line and I look forward to a competitive season in the Championship.”
General Manager Alex Clark said: “We are delighted that Brianna has committed her future to the Club for next season. She had a great season last year and was a key leader in the side. We’re delighted that she’s signed a full-time contract and continuing with the project that we have here at Sunderland.”
