Crystal Palace have spoken with 22-year-old Chelsea player’s agents, he’s really in demand
Crystal Palace have made contact with the agents of Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.
That is according to Guardian journalist Ed Aarons.
He claims that Crystal Palace have started discussions with Callum Hudson-Odoi’s representatives, but they’ve not followed up the interest yet.
It is understood that Premier League rivals Fulham and Nottingham Forest are two more clubs interested in signing the 22-year-old from Chelsea this summer.
“Told that Crystal Palace made initial contact with Callum Hudson-Odoi’s agents but have yet to follow that up. Fulham and Forest among several clubs hoping to sign him from Chelsea this summer,” Aarons wrote on Twitter.
The Guardian named AC Milan as another admirer in Hudson-Odoi this summer.
Despite the fact he had a disappointing loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen last season, Chelsea’s wide man still has quite the queue of clubs after him.
Meanwhile, The Athletic has said this week that Hudson-Odoi actively wants to leave Chelsea this summer.
He was always tipped as one of the best things to come through the Blues academy at Cobham, but he’s not quite lived up to the hype yet.
So, will the English youngster go and achieve big success elsewhere?
In our view, Hudson-Odoi would be very smart to pursue a move to Selhurst Park this summer.
Palace, who played some attacking football under Roy Hodgson towards the end of last season, do rely heavily on their wide players.
The 22-year-old winger could definitely suit the kind of football and type of personnel at Palace, so it could make sense for all parties.
