Report: Wolves now considering to make huge behind-the-scenes change at Molineux
The relationship between Julen Lopetegui and Wolves seems to be heading for a horrific ending.
Throughout the last week there has been various reports which seem to suggest the Spaniard is losing patience.
It was revealed by The Mirror on Thursday that the former Real Madrid boss was considering his position and the Molineux.
The reported that Lopetegui could potentially ‘quit’ Old Gold over the transfer disputes currently at the club.
It then stated that Lopetegui was ‘fed-up’ with the club having sold multiple star players with little coming in their place.
The final straw could be Wolves missing out on Alex Scott’s signature with Bournemouth now in pole position.
His position could be now seriously in danger, which has saw Wolves begin to timidly look for replacements.
Wolves ‘sound out’ Lopetegui replacements
Lopetegui hasn’t even been at Compton Park a year, but already could be on his way out.
This according to a report by The Mirror, the article highlights Lopetegui’s transfer frustration as the source of issues.
It is then stated that “Wolves are already sounding out replacements for Julen Lopetegui.”
Planning to replace the boss before the season has even started could be something that leads to doom for Wolves.
This especially when the manager wants to leave due to the doing of the board’s lack of recruitment.
Are there managers available?
The thing is, if Lopetegui leaves for the reasons he does, Wolves will struggle to bring a new boss in.
However there are options we see taking the role as they themselves are in need of a career reset.
One option could be former Chelsea and Brighton boss Graham Potter, who had a woeful time at Stamford Bridge.
He could welcome the opportunity to build a club up from the bottom like he did at the Amex.
Another, left-field, option could be ex-Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian hasn’t managed since leaving United nearly two years ago, but was very impressive at times.
His style of counter-attacking football could also perfectly suit the squad available.
