This summer, Nottingham Forest inquired about Juventus’ talisman.
Nottingham Forest asked Juventus about the possibility of signing Moise Kean during the summer transfer window. The Reds added 13 players in the summer but weren’t successful in their attempts to land the striker.
According to Calcio Mercato, the talisman was on the radar of the City Ground outfit. He’s fallen down the radar at Juventus, with Massimiliano Allegri now assessing his situation.
It’s hard to believe that Kean is still 23-years-old. He seems to have been around for years, featuring for PSG, Everton and Hellas Verona as well as the Old Lady.
This season it wouldn’t appear that he’s going to be playing much football for Juventus. He’s made two substitute appearances during 2023/24, with his game time equating to just 13 minutes in total.
Forest made the enquiry after a steady season for Kean during 2022/23. He scored eight goals in 40 appearances and as someone who will improve, Forest thought they’d ask the question.
The Reds weren’t the only club keen to take him. AC Milan also posed the question to Juventus, offering to swap Divock Origi who actually ended up at Forest.
Forest asked about Kean this summer
The Reds were linked with Kean following promotion 12 months ago. As a result, it does look like a link that simply refuses to go away from a Forest perspective.
Kean would be an intriguing signing. Currently, he earns £49,000-a-week and he has showcased glimpses of his quality in recent seasons, without really doing it for the whole campaign.
Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Kean. He’s called him ‘fearless’ and ‘courageous’ during his time at PSG and he’s also been compared to Edinson Cavani during his career.
It remains to be seen whether or not Forest will remain in the mix to sign Kean in the future. Given that they landed Origi this summer, perhaps they will now park this interest for now.
