French powerhouse soccer club eyes English captain and long-time Tottenham Hotspur superstar, as Manchester United drools

Out with Messi, in with Kane?

PSG, OMG.

With superstar forward Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe possibly all headed for the exit, top French pro soccer club Paris St-Germain reportedly has touched base with reps of Harry Kane — long-time superstar striker of Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, and captain of the English international side.

According to reports out of the U.K. and France, Kane’s team have met with a top PSG football adviser, Luis Campos.

Kane is under contract with the Spurs for another season, but rampant speculation has the hard-luck English club perhaps moving on from its long-time scoring machine in the weeks ahead.

If a transfer indeed is in the works, most tab English Premier League rival Manchester United as the likeliest landing spot for Kane, who is just 51 goals from breaking Alan Shearer’s EPL career record of 260.

Reports in England say ManU isn’t trying hard to hide the fact it covets Kane most of all when the coming transfer window opens.

What’s further concerning Spurs fans is a Manchester Evening News report that the club has “commissioned a mural of Harry Kane outside their stadium in the lead-up to their final home game of the season this Saturday … ostensibly to celebrate the 29-year-old becoming Tottenham’s all-time record goal scorer.”

With Messi’s departure from PSG a foregone conclusion at this point, and with Neymar and Mbappe heavily rumoured as moving on from the Ligue 1 powerhouse as well, the other hot candidate reportedly in PSG’s sights is the top Italian league scorer this season, Victor Osimhen of Naples. But his price tag reportedly would be £130 million, or $218 million Cdn.

Kane could be obtained for far less — around $146 million Cdn, per DailyMail.com.
