A round-up of the latest Leeds United transfer rumours and gossip

A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Saturday, June 3.

Burnley and Luton Town lead race to sign Cody Drameh
Football Insider claims Burnley are set to rival Luton Town for the signing of Leeds United youngster Cody Drameh. The 21-year-old right-back spent last season on loan with the Hatters and played a key part in their promotion to the Premier League.

No obligation or option to buy was included in the loan deal, which could see Leeds host an auction this summer. It remains to be seen whether Drameh’s long-term future remains at Elland Road, with there likely to be more opportunity to play given the club’s relegation to the Championship.

Leeds are set for a major summer rebuild and the England Under-21 international could still stay with the Whites heading into next season. Luton boss Rob Edwards has already spoken about his desire to keep Drameh beyond his loan.

The Sun claims Leeds United are keeping tabs on Rob Edwards having helped guide Luton Town to the Premier League. The Whites parted company with Sam Allardyce earlier today and are said to be looking for a similar long-term approach to Marcelo Bielsa’s appointment at Elland Road.

The Welsh tactician is said to be on a shortlist of potential candidates, which also includes Lorient manager Regis Le Bris. Edwards booked Luton’s return to the top flight for the first time since 1992 with a penalty shootout win over Coventry City.

The 40-year-old already has two promotions on his CV despite a short managerial career to date – winning promotion with Forest Green Rovers in 2021-22.
