’TIME TO MOVE ON’: ENGLISH SPEEDSTER TOLD TO JOIN WEST HAM AMID RUMOURED TRANSFER INTEREST

Tony Cascarino has told Max Aarons to leave Championship side Norwich City and join Premier League outfit, West Ham United.

The former striker says it’s time for Max Aarons to ‘move on’ in his career because, for a number of years now, ‘every club has looked at him’, as he told talkSPORT.

Well, with West Ham set to receive a big wad of cash from the sale of Declan RIce, it has been suggested by talkSPORT that they want to make a move for Aarons.

Given that Norwich are in England’s second-tier, then you would imagine securing the 23-year-old’s talents would be a lot easier to get over the line given the position of the two clubs.

Ever since Aarons was a teenager, he has been hyped and bigged up, but to this day, he has never played for anyone else other than Norwich.

But now might be the time for the English speedster to head for the exit door and Cascarino is backing it after being told of West Ham’s interest in the player.

“He has been mentioned every year for probably the last four,” said Cascarino. “Since he was an 18-year-old, every club have looked at him and wanted him. It will be interesting.

“Look, Norwich have suffered over the years as they got relegated and they are a club that have to be in the Premier League. I know they bounced up and down the leagues, he survived and kept playing.

“It seems like it is time for him to move on. It has been rumoured so often by so many clubs, you just feel it has never got over the line for Max Aarons.

“As a fullback, he looked absolutely superb as an 18-year-old – Max Aarons is in the situation where it’s probably time to move on.”

A number of years ago, Aarons was flying and showing serious promise as a forward-thinking fullback.

But his game has stagnated over the years, so is he worth the punt? There is a reason why interest in his talents hasn’t resulted in a permanent move.

Yes, the Hammers have a wad of cash to spend, but just like last summer, they have to make sure that, for large parts of next season, it doesn’t go wrong, or else, shots will be fired.
