Coventry City make sixth summer signing as Burnley man joins Sky Blues for reported £2m fee
Coventry City have completed their sixth summer signing with the capture of Burnley defender Bobby Thomas.
The 6ft 4 inch tall centre-back has joined the Sky Blues for an undisclosed fee, reported to be £2million, from the newly promoted Premier League club, signing a four year deal at the CBS Arena.
So far this summer the Sky Blues have brought Joel Latibeaudiere, Jay Dasilva, Ellis Simms, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and goalkeeper Brad Collins to the club.
As a youngster Thomas spent time in the youth set-ups at Everton and Crewe before move to the Clarets in 2017. He made his senior debut in the League Cup in September 2020 and then spent the second half of that season with Barrow in League Two. He was loaned to Bristol Rovers at the start of last term where he scored three goals before switching on loan to Barnsley in January and scoring three times in 25 appearances.
