This Thursday night, Newcastle United will host Brighton and Hove Albion at St. James’ Park in an effort to earn all three points at home. The Magpies will be eager to return to winning ways in this midweek Premier League match after being held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United recently.

Eddie Howe will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make one change to his first team for this game. Jacob Murphy might get a chance to play from the start while Miguel Almiron makes way for him and drops to the bench.

4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence

Nick Pope will function in between the sticks for the Magpies as he looks to keep a clean sheet at home versus the Seagulls. Sven Botman and Fabian Schar will operate as Howe’s primary centre-halves as they try to keep the Brighton attackers at bay throughout the 90 minutes.

Kieran Trippier will be a nailed-on starter as the right-back while Dan Burn hopes to put on a good showing on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to pick and choose their moment to join in on the attack.

Javier Manquilo and Paul Dummett will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock will anchor the midfield for Newcastle as they focus on making life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Tyneside club are to secure a win in midweek.

Elliot Anderson will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if Moyes decides to call upon his services.

Attack

Alexander Isak will get a chance to impress as the left-sided wide player while Jacob Murphy hopes to catch the eye on the right flank.

Callum Wilson will once again spearhead Howe’s attack down the middle. The English forward managed to score a brace versus Leeds which will keep him in high spirits going into this game.

Anthony Gordon, Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin will be available for selection on the bench as they await their chance to shine in the latter stages if required.
